There are so few times in your life when you actually get to be in the same room with a true blue hero. Just the thought of being in the presence of someone who walked on the moon is hard to wrap your head around. Let alone when this person has driven on the moon. Not to mention that he was the one of the main voices everyone heard when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. Remember the line “you’ve got a whole bunch of guys about to turn blue”? Well, that was said with a great southern accent by this truly unique individual.
Brigadier General Charles Duke, Jr. is coming to the Upcountry History Museum on Thursday, December 5th for a 7pm event that you should not miss. For when are you ever going to get the chance to meet a moonwalker or be able to listen to his stories?
